My name is Anthony Stowers.  I would like to share with you where God has brought me from and where He is taking our church.  I was born on January 24, 1971.  I was born pre-mature and weighed 4 lbs 2 oz with crooked knees. Early in my childhood, I had to ware knee braces.   I was raised in a home where my dad went to church and my mother hated him for it.  I remember at an early age dad taking us to church.  At one service, I was prayed for and God miraculously healed my knees.  So, I had an influence of God at an early age.  I continued to go to church until my dad became discouraged at the constant battle with my mother.  I fell into a life of sin as an early teenager, all the while having a constant reminder of what God had done for me at an early age. 

 I married my wife Tanya at the age of 20.  Our marriage was without God and the everyday struggle became greater and greater.  God began to deal with my wife through a fellow co-worker, who began to mention church to my wife on a daily basis.  She began to ask me about church, Jesus, and eternity.  God began to do a miraculous work in our lives.  One night God began to convict me of a life of sin and to remind me of the presence and knowledge of God that had been with me since I was a young boy.  I remembered at the age of 7, my dad asking me what I wanted to do when I grew up and I told him, "I was going to be a preacher."  All of this came back to me that night in our home.  God gripped our hearts and we prayed that night and He saved us.  On a Saturday night without any preaching, we cleaned our home out of all the things that were offensive to God.  The next morning, we got up and went to church.  We committed our lives publicly at an alter.  Soon after, we got involved in the church.  God saved my whole family including my mother, who had fought my dad so many years for going to church.  She now cleans our church after every service.  Our God is so amazing. 

We were so hungry for the Word of God and fortunately, I was introduced to the preaching of Lester Sumrall.  That is where we first developed such a desire for authentic Christianity, where we believed that when we came to Christ old things passed away and all things became new.  This was simply because God alone did that in our lives.  Since God called me to preach in 1995, we have seen an explosion of false conversions that have gripped America's churches and choked the working of the Holy Spirit of God out of much of today's major denominations.  It is so hard to find true holiness without man-made tradition.  With that desire, several men of God have influenced our ministry.  Some of these men include Lester Sumrall, David Wilkerson, Carter Conlon, Leonard Ravenhill, and Keith Daniel.  Our church is also focused on the conviction, repenting, conversion, and disciplining of souls by the power of our risen Savior Jesus Christ.
